does.
Cookie A Cookie is a piece of information sent
by a Web Site to your Web browser that the browser software is expected
to save and send back to the Website whenever you make additional requests

by individuals or small companies that costs nothing to use. The developer
retains the copyright to the product, so freeware is not in the public
domain. Many Internet utilities are freeware or shareware.
IP address IP stands
for Internet Protocol. An
IP address is a series of numbers that is a given computers address
on the Internet. Depending on the way you get your access, this number
could change for your computer each time that you log onto the network.
URL stands for Uniform Resource Locator;
it is the address for a specific file on a specific computer on the
Internet. It can be expressed in numerics or words or some combination
of the two.
FTP stands for File Transfer Protocol
and it is a means of copying files from a remote computer to your computer (or the other way around).
This comes in handy when you want to download a new game, update
your Internet browser or update your web site, more flexible than browser based updates (upload an entire site in one go using any one of the many FTP client software available).
IRC stands for Internet Relay Chat and
it is a way for any number of people to have a real-time discussion
over the Internet. There are numerous programs out there for IRC each
with slight variations in the offered features.
Spam is when a company
(or person) sends email or a posting where it really doesnt belong
and hasnt been requested. Spam can also be defined as flooding
someone with email messages.
GIF and JPEG
files. They are both graphics files. GIF stands for Graphics Interchange
Format and was created by Compuserve. JPEG stands for Joint Photographic
Expert Group Format and is one of the industry standards.
HTTP Hypertext Transport Protocol. The protocol
for sending files on the World Wide Web, HTTP is what browsers and websites
use to send and get files. The string http:// makes up the first part
of the URL for all World Wide Web pages.
